As the 1st hotel of an emerging new hotel company, Duckham
Hotels, we are continually improving our hotel in an
individualistic way to create a warm personal atmosphere.
Our aim is to offer a relaxed friendly environment with
some unique features, a focal point bar and lounge,
and wherever possible source our food products, from
local suppliers, farms and fishermen.
Being on Eastbourne’s seafront affords us plenty of
opportunity for serving a host of different local fish
including wild sea bream and bass.
We are committed (in our small way) to improving the
environment in which we live. We have been awarded the
silver level of achievement in green tourism by Tourism
South East for our initiatives in saving waste, use
of natural products, recycling and energy sufficiency
to name a few.
We have a controlled dog policy as we believe the “pathway
to health” outside our hotel and the South Downs on
our doorstep that guests should be able to include their
dogs in their holiday or short break.
We are an active supporter of Sussex Wildlife Trust,
which runs some 36 nature reserves around Sussex and
also promotes understanding and respect of wildlife
in Sussex.
We believe in conservation of the Sussex environment
and its wildlife for future generations to enjoy unspoilt.
